Release Notes v0.1.85

Sign off in style

Meet Signatures — your personal sign-off, always ready to go. Create as many as you like in Settings, then pick the right one straight from the compose window. Quartz drops it in automatically, keeps your reply quotes intact, and remembers your choice per account, so every message ends exactly the way you want.

Set Quartz as your default mail app

A new General settings panel lets you make Quartz your default mail handler. Once it's set, clicking a mailto: link opens a new message in Quartz, pre-filled and ready to write.

Add links the easy way

Composing just got richer. The new link tools in the formatting toolbar let you insert, edit, and remove links in a click — no more pasting raw URLs and hoping for the best.

Improved

  • See who's on the thread — the email view now shows full recipient details, and drafts clearly display which account they'll send from.

  • Manual categorization reasons are now clearly labeled and easy to select, so you always know why an email landed where it did.

  • All your compose formatting shortcuts are now listed in Settings, and the Send shortcut correctly shows Cmd+Shift+Enter.

  • A new founder feedback link in the sidebar makes it easy to tell us what you think.

Fixed

  • Large Gmail messages that used to arrive with a blank body now load in full.

  • Emails with dark or custom backgrounds now render cleanly and stay readable.

A note on telemetry

Usage analytics are now on for everyone, including existing accounts, so we can spot rough edges and keep improving Quartz. This now includes the email addresses of the accounts you connect. It does not include the contents of your emails — subjects, message text, and bodies are never sent. The telemetry toggle in Settings is informational for now.

Best

The link editor is one of those features people don't think until it's missing. Having quick insert/edit controls makes composing professional emails much smoother.
