PULSE - Japan crowd counts: now, 1 hour ahead, 2 hours ahead

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Yuto, the independent developer of PULSE. I wanted to answer a question a busy/quiet label doesn't fully answer: how many people might be there when I arrive? PULSE predicts crowd counts at shops, venues, facilities and stations across Japan, now, 1 hour ahead and 2 hours ahead. You can explore the map, search for a place or ask in chat. It's useful whether you want somewhere quieter or a lively place to spend time. I used GPT through Codex and Claude to develop and improve both the iPhone app and its core prediction system. The system handles over 3 billion data records, and development has involved over 2.6 billion record-level prediction comparisons, including repeated evaluations with different methods and conditions. In some evaluated places and conditions, agreement on three crowd levels has reached around 80%. This measures crowd-level agreement, and results vary by location. I publish the evaluation methods and results at https://pulseapp.jp/data . User reports help improve the forecasts. PULSE is live on the App Store, free to use and requires no account.
