Pulse - Self-hosted real-time collaboration for any website

by
Most collaboration SDKs are hosted SaaS: your users' comments live on someone else's servers. Pulse is self-hosted: one tag adds comments pinned to pixels, live cursors, presence, reactions, and voice/video notes to any website, backed by your own Postgres. The hard part is pins that don't drift: Pulse anchors each one to three DOM landmarks with barycentric coordinates and degrades through four fallback tiers, so pins survive reflows and redesigns. Multi-tenant, themeable, REST API.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I built Pulse because adding Figma-style collaboration to a product usually means either paying a big SaaS bill or spending months building WebSocket infrastructure.

Pulse is the third option: a self-hosted collaboration layer you add with literally one HTML tag.

What you get

📌 Pinned comments that actually stay pinned
This is the hardest problem we solved. Pins are anchored using barycentric coordinates against three DOM landmarks, with a 4-tier fallback strategy, so they survive responsive layouts and even major redesigns instead of drifting or disappearing.

I'd love your feedback. Especially if you've built collaboration features before or evaluated existing collaboration tools.
