Scientific publications are the output of research in the life science and pharmaceutical industries. Having worked in marketing and sales in this industry for almost a decade now, I understood the importance of scientific publications to help position our products in the market and differentiate them from competitors. Our products, whether new active pharmaceutical ingredients, diagnostic tests, medical devices or consumables (to name a few) are all cited in scientific publications and it's our job to highlight how our products help researchers and clinicians advance scientific and medical discoveries. However, every time I opened a new publication citing one of my products, the process was the same. Spent hours reviewing the paper, took notes and highlighted the PDF, then spent days/weeks thinking of how to use this valuable information to increase product awareness in the market. There is so much valuable product evidence in a publication, but it is often buried in the paper and never used. I thought, what if there was a tool that helped me extract all this extremely important information? This would save me hours and hours of work, sometimes even during weekends! If I could easily identify the information relevant to my product(s), I could focus more on building a well-crafted campaigns or simply communicate with my customers why they should choose our products. This is what Publication Assistant does. From a publication, we can now extract ready-to-use product insights to allow us to focus on product positioning using real-world, unbiased evidence.
