My first Mac App (built with Glaze!)

I spent last week doing the heavy lifting of building my very first Mac app to see if I could turn an idea into a functional tool for my own workflow.

Even Charlie gave his thumbs up 🥹

Took advantage of the awards to test my building skills!

Enter 👨‍🎨

A tool for creating beautiful screenshots.

What’s inside:

- Easy screenshot uploads

- Custom background selections

- Export in high-res no watermark

- $100+ saved annually on subscriptions (I've personally cancelled a tool that did this)

The building part was easy, but the real work was refining the logic.

I used Notion for the draft, Pretty Prompt for the refinement, and Glaze by Raycast to bring it to life.

Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

Go build!

I like that you focused on a simple problem and polished the experience instead of trying to pack in dozens of features.

one suggestion would be to include a few ready-made templates for Product Hunt, X, and LinkedIn image sizes. I think a lot of makers would use those right away.

Oh this is a killer feature! Great request - will add it :)

This is amazing. How far along are you now?

works pretty well! Try it out:

Just a side project to the real startup

Congrats on shipping your first Mac app! 🎉

I think building a tool for your own workflow is one of the best ways to start.

If it saves you time and even replaces a paid subscription, there's a good chance others will find it useful too. All the best!

This is a great example of how AI is lowering the barrier to building useful software. Excited to see what you build next with Glaze! 🚀
