Presently - Your Slack status, updated automatically by Wi-Fi network

by
If you work hybrid, you know the drill — you get to the office and forget to update your Slack status. Hours later someone assumes you're at home. Presently fixes this. It's a macOS menu bar app that detects which Wi-Fi network you're on and automatically sets your Slack status. Home network = house emoji. Office = office emoji. Set it up once, never think about it again. Includes vacation mode, custom emojis, and auto-clear at end of day. Native SwiftUI, lightweight

Hey everyone! I'm David, the developer behind Presently. I work hybrid — some days at home, some at the office — and I kept forgetting to update my Slack status. My coworkers never knew where I was. I figured my laptop already knows where I am based on the Wi-Fi network, so why am I doing this manually? Presently sits in your macOS menu bar and watches which Wi-Fi you're on. Home network? Sets your Slack status to a house emoji. Office network? Office emoji. It just runs in the background — you set it up once and forget about it. I started building this about a year and a half ago but hit some frustrating bugs and shelved it. Eventually picked it back up with some AI help to push through the last mile, and here we are. What it does: - Auto-detects home/office networks and sets the matching emoji - Vacation mode when you're away - Auto-clears your status at end of day - Full emoji picker with workspace custom emojis - Native SwiftUI, lightweight, free I'd love to hear how you handle the Slack status problem on your team, and any feedback on the app. Demo video:
