Predictify - Predict match scores, prove you know football best
by•
Predictify turns your football knowledge into a game.
Predict match scores across 53 leagues and compete against other players. While standard season-long leagues are implemented, the main feature here is a weekly ELO-based ranked mode.
No betting, no money, just a fun way of showing off your football knowledge.

The ELO-based weekly ranked mode sounds like a really smart way to keep things competitive without the season commitment. Glad it's just for bragging rights too, makes the whole thing way more chill.
@yaz2029848 Thanks!!
I hate fantasy and I suck at money betting, so this comes as a perfect replacement… love the multiplayer element as well so I’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
weekly ELO ranked mode is a smart call instead of just a season-long table, keeps it interesting even if you have a bad week. 53 leagues is a lot of data entry/scoring to keep accurate though - are you pulling fixtures and results from a live sports data API or maintaining that manually?
@omri_ben_shoham1 I don't think it would be possible to do it manually for 53 leagues 😅 I get live data from API
respect the solo build, especially the construction-worker-to-shipped-app path. the thing I'd want to understand about arena mode though: with no stakes, what stops the top of the ELO leaderboard from just being whoever picks the statistically safest score every time (1-1, 2-1) rather than whoever actually reads form and injuries best? in fantasy football your team composition forces some real decision-making, but a score guess is a much lower-friction action to spam correctly.
@galdayan That is true and what you are saying is something that i thought about a lot and i ran a lot of simulations before building this app, some simulations included that scenario too.
You could play all the games on safest scores, but it will not get you to top. Not longterm anyway, if you are lucky you might do good with that strategy once in a while.
Results in Football are way too diverse for that to work on 30 games against someone who really put some thought in predictions.
Other thing i want to mention - True, Fantasy football forces some real decision-making, but that is also the point of this app. Fantasy football, if you want to actually be good at it demands A LOT of your time. You have to follow all the news about players, always have to be there 1 hour before the game to make a sub if your player is actually on the bench for some reason etc. Predictify is built so that you can interact with football and have fun while not investing so much time. And in the fast paced world we live in i think that is something people need.
Not as a replacement for Fantasy football, but as addition to it.
