A safe local shipping console. Review the change, apply it with a snapshot, push, deploy, and recover from any step. One window. No terminal. No dragging files around. Initial release. Windows only. Works best with smaller web projects. Free on your first project.

Every time I make a small change to one of my sites, it's the same routine... route the file to the correct folder, check it locally, run tests, push, open the deploy dashboard, wait, then refresh to confirm it's live. None of it's hard, but it's five minutes of busywork for a one line change, every single time. So I built something to do that whole loop in one window. I'd get my ideas written into code fast, and as I started bringing AI into the mix more, I'd end up with a bigger batch of files to deal with after. The more complex the project got, the more files came with it, and every change meant routing them into the right folders by hand, making sure nothing landed in the wrong place. Sometimes misplacing one and hunting it down for five minutes. The building was quick but the busywork after it just kept growing. What I wanted was nothing fancy, just something that worked and reliably sped me up. Automatically picking up my new files and routing them to the right folders, or letting me quickly choose where they go, instead of digging them out of Downloads by hand. Being able to test the changes locally, making sure everything looks and works as I'd expect, being able to compare it to my live site, then once I'm happy, push/deploy without jumping from window to window. I also added some safeguards while building. I wanted to keep track of my changes and save along the way in case something went haywire and I needed to get back to a stable version. It's easy to build fast, but staying protected while you do it has been really valuable. There's more in the app, but I'll let you poke around and find it. >> Where Praetr is currently at: this is the initial rollout and it's mostly been just me using it so far. Windows only right now, works well with smaller web projects, and there are some rough edges. But it's stable enough that I'm finding serious value in it, so instead of fine tuning forever I wanted to get it out and build what matters most to the people who use it. I've tested with Cloudflare, Netlify, and Vercel and all three work great. There's also a Desktop builder side in beta (some features are still limited), where you can point at your project root, use the file watcher/transfer, autosave as you go, and push from Praetr. Quick heads up, there's some one-time setup for web projects: You need a GitHub repo connected to Cloudflare, Vercel, or Netlify (the usual way you'd set that up) Once that's connected, Praetr identifies your repo automatically when you select your project folder Then you add your API details for your host in Praetr's settings I want to build that setup into Praetr eventually so you don't have to do it outside the app, but for now that's the way. Free on your first project. Check out praetr.com for the rest of the details. Really curious what people think. Would this help in your workflow today? If you try it, where do you notice friction, and what would take it to the next level?
