Practical Web Tools - Convert files & chat with AI — fully offline

I'm Joey, the maker of Practical Web Tools. The problem I kept running into: Every time I needed to convert a PDF or compress an image, I'd end up on some sketchy site that uploads my files to who-knows-where, then hits me with a paywall or watermark. For financial calculators, it was endless email signup forms just to see my own numbers. So I built this: A collection of 50+ tools that run entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device. No accounts, no uploads, no subscriptions. What's included: PDF tools (convert to Word/Excel, merge, split, sign, redact) Image converters (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF) Audio converters (MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc.) Financial calculators (Coast FIRE, house hacking, self-employment tax, SaaS metrics) Local AI chat powered by Ollama (completely free, runs on your computer) The tech: Everything processes client-side using WebAssembly. I'm a one-person team, so the "no server uploads" approach also means I don't have massive infrastructure costs to pass on to users.
