Potluck - The operating system for real-world social lives

by•
Potluck helps people organize their real-world social calendar and preserve the relationships and memories that continue afterward. Potluck brings the entire lifecycle of an offline community into one place—from planning and invitations to RSVPs, shared responsibilities, photos and memories, and the next gathering. Human behavior comes first, with AI used to make hosting easier—not replace it.

Hi Product Hunt 👋

We built Potluck around a simple belief: people already want to spend time together. They host birthdays, dinners, holidays, watch parties, school events, church gatherings, neighborhood get-togethers, and traditions with the people they care about.

The problem is everything around making those gatherings happen. Invitations live in one place. RSVPs somewhere else. Sign-ups happen in a spreadsheet. Plans get buried in text threads. Photos disappear into camera rolls. And when it’s time to bring the same people together again, you often start from scratch.

That’s what Potluck is built to solve.

Today, Potluck is the operating system for real-world social lives: one place to plan your social year, invite your people, share the work, coordinate the details, and keep the memories afterward. We’re also intentionally taking a different approach to AI.

There are a lot of products being built right now around the idea of an AI agent managing your social life. We believe the most important part of your social life should remain very human. Potluck is human-behavior-first and AI-augmented.

We’re building around behaviors that already exist in the real world, then using AI to remove the friction surrounding them. The technology should make it easier to get people together—not become the thing people are gathering around. We built the gathering platform before building the agent.

We already use AI inside Potluck to make parts of hosting easier, and in Q1 2027 we’ll introduce an AI Co-Host built around what we’ve learned from real hosts, real guests, and real gatherings. It won’t replace the host. It will help take more of the work off their plate.

Our goal is simple: We don’t want people spending more time with Potluck. We want them spending more time together.

I’d love to hear how you currently organize the gatherings in your life, and where the process still feels harder than it should.

congrats on your launch! :) Nice idea, especially for families with many different things to organize (especially when you're also part of a sports club haha). How does Potluck handle shared jobs, like who brings what or who books the venue? Does it remind people?
