We're excited to launch the first subscription service for Postmates today! Many of us will be here to answer your questions!
Hey Bastian -- Love postmates. Easter is over and I'm running low on Peeps. Can Postmates help?
Damn! You guys do this right as I move from LA to Santa Barbara! I was probably your biggest customer!
Give us a few months! ;)
Hope to see it launch up here in Portland soon!
This could be very useful for businesses (ours included) and a way for Postmates to lock-in existing customers and compete.
I agree. We will launch a business subscription in a few weeks.
As a Postmates driver I'm curious to how we are compensated for this? If the customer is not charged a delivery fee, does this mean we don't get paid a delivery fee?
(however as a Postmates user, im very excited about this!)
Your compensation stays the same and you will get a free Postmates Unlimited subscription if you do more than 10 deliveries per month. ;)
oh wow, awesome!
How do I upgrade? I don't see the option in app.
Are you in iOS?
yeppers, all updated and everything, too.
It slowly rolls out in more and more cities. I think we cover 10 right now.
Try clicking on the "Plus" tab at the bottom.
This should take you right to it!
this is great news! : what happens if you pay for the subscription but your order is less than $30? e.g. order is $20, how much do you pay then?
You will pay $3.99 or $2.99 depending on the market. You still pay ZERO service fee. ;)
How do I get postmates in my non-super-tech city of Cincinnati? I want to be an advocate.
👍🏽
To understand this correct It's 9.99 usd/mo for free delivery BUT only from postmates plus partners (i assume companies where you get a cut) correct?
Yes. There are over 3,000 Plus partners and we will have over 10K by the end of the year. You also don't pay any service fee! Partners like American Apparel are included as well.
I'm pretty sure I've paid more than $10 for an individual delivery before. This seems like a no brainer! Any cap on order size or anything?
There is no cap, just a $30 minimum. Order away.
I can't wait for the business version, it's going to save us a ton of small trips at all of our campuses.
I used to enjoy Postmates but to be honest 2 out of 5 orders had mistakes and Postmates would give me free delivery next time. I don't want free delivery I want order accuracy when I'm paying a premium for delivery. I have other options Caviar and Delivered Dish just to name two who have always got it right and are cheaper.
We faced some pretty crazy challenges in scaling our support team. Placing orders from over 50K merchants (per month) is also not a simple task BUT i'm not trying to find excuses here. We're doing the right things and they will hopefully move the needle. If you order from our Plus merchants, the orders is placed electronically and this reduces the error rate drastically. Email me at: and i will mark your account with a free subscription so you can try it out.
ok done and I understand scaling it ain't easy and I don't blame you guys but just individual errors that added up. I'd be glad to give it another try and like the idea of electronic order submission for better accuracy.
I appreciate it!
