Pointfix - Point at a UI problem. Let your coding agent fix it.

by•
Pointfix connects your running iOS, Android, or web app to the coding agent you already use. Point at an element, describe what should change, and Pointfix gives your agent the screenshot, UI context, and source location it needs to make the fix.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m an iOS engineer, and I built Pointfix because I kept running into a ridiculously small problem that caused a disproportionate amount of interruption. You’re working on something complex and get: “Can you move this button down a little?” “This should be grey, not black.” “The padding here feels wrong.” The actual code change might take 30 seconds. Getting the right context often takes longer than making the change. With coding agents becoming part of my everyday development workflow, I started wondering why we still manually translate visual problems into prompts. So I built Pointfix. Point at the element → describe the change → let your agent handle it. Pointfix captures the screenshot, selected element, UI context and source location when available, then gives that context to the coding agent you already use. The agent makes the change, Pointfix runs your configured checks, rebuilds/relaunches the app, and gives you the result to review. The engineer always stays in control. Accept/commit the change, iterate on it, or revert it. Pointfix isn’t trying to build your app for you, and it isn’t another vibe-coding platform. I built it for the last mile of UI development: spacing, alignment, colors, sizing, copy and all the small details that make a UI feel finished. It currently supports iOS, Android and Web, runs on your Mac, and works with coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex. One direction I’m particularly interested in exploring is collaboration. A designer, PM or QA shouldn’t necessarily have to screenshot something, send it to an engineer, explain where it is, and wait for the engineer to translate that into code. Why not let them point directly at the UI and create a context-rich change request that an engineer can review? I’m also building Pointfix as a way to explore what agentic software development can look like beyond simply prompting an LLM to write code: better context, constrained tasks, automated execution and validation, with humans making the decisions that matter. Pointfix is free, and I’m still early enough that critical feedback is much more valuable to me than compliments. If you work on mobile or web UIs, I’d love for you to try it. And especially: tell me why you wouldn’t use it. 👉
