Hi PH, My wife and I have been using PodTalk to talk about our shared podcasts. We've used it for the past year or so. It's worked well. Why did I build this? I wanted to respond to podcasts. I first built something with public comments, but then I realized I'd prefer to talk to my wife and people I know. You can make groups for: • family or close friends, • listeners of a specific podcast, • communities interested in a certain topic, • or whatever else. The podcast client itself has a lot of features: Add private feed by URL • Podcast tags for organizing your feeds • iPad support • Sync between iOS devices • Auto download new episodes • Refresh subscriptions straight from RSS feed • Import/export subscriptions • New episode notifications • Download limits (overall and per podcast) • Auto delete downloads • Custom playback speed • Per podcast playback settings • Manage podcast settings in bulk • Background feed refresh • Properly formatted episode notes with images and parsed timestamps • Playback queue • Autoplay podcasts from beginning or most recent • Dark + light mode • Episode bookmarks - add notes to any timestamp + hashtag support • Export bookmarks to CSV • Entire listening history stored locally (and searchable) • Export listen history to CSV • Multiple audio scrubber styles • Set how often feeds auto-refresh • Playlists • Add subscriptions to a playlist • Search episodes with advanced filters via ListenNotes API • Car mode (i.e., really big play/pause button) • Chapter support w/ chapter images (Coming soon: Skip silence, enhanced voice, CarPlay) How embedded comments work: 1) Group member leaves voice comment at 20:00 in an episode 2) While listening to that episode, you reach 20:00 3) Podcast pauses, robot voice will announce, "Jake Smith says..." 4) Plays voice comment 5) Resumes podcast (Text comments show up as push notifications.) You can turn off embedded comments. There are also options for filtering comments.
