Pocket - Track expenses by voice.

Track expenses by voice. Talking is the easiest and most natural thing people do, so instead of typing numbers and categories, users just speak. For example, saying “Spent 180 pounds on Netflix” instantly logs the expense with the correct amount and category. This removes friction, reduces forgetting, and makes money tracking effortless.

What inspired you to build this? I tried tracking my expenses for years, but I always quit after a day or two. I’d start motivated, then get bored, lose track, and forget to log things. Months later I’d realize I spent a lot of money on things I didn’t actually need, yet I couldn’t even remember where it all went. I tried everything: notes apps, paper and pen, spreadsheets—but none of them stuck because the habit itself was hard. What problem were you trying to solve? The real problem wasn’t budgeting, it was friction. Typing, categorizing, and constantly “keeping up” made expense tracking exhausting, so I avoided it. How did your approach evolve? I realized the easiest thing humans do is talk. So instead of forcing myself to type, I built an app where I just say what I spent, like “180 pounds on Netflix”, and the app does the hard work. That shift, from manual effort to natural speech is what made the habit finally stick.
