Plant Compass Lite - Sun-smart plant placement, indoors and out

by
Most plant apps start after you've picked the wrong window. This one helps you pick the right one first. Point your phone at a window. Real compass + your GPS + the sun's actual path for your latitude = a verdict: thrive, cope, or avoid. No other app puts these together. Built by a plant store owner who got tired of watching customers bring beautiful plants home to the wrong spot. One purchase, no subscription.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Jordan, and I built this because I own a plant shop and kept having the same conversation. Customer buys a plant. Two weeks later they're back, sad, holding a dead fiddle leaf fig. I ask where they put it. Wrong window, every time. The advice that already exists is vague. "Bright indirect light." Okay, but which window in my apartment? A north-facing window in Austin and a north-facing window in Portland are completely different situations. The sun path is different. The seasons hit differently. Generic compass guidance doesn't cut it. So I built an app that does the math. You point your phone at a window, it reads the compass, pulls your GPS, and calculates the actual sun exposure for that window on your latitude. Then it tells you whether your plant will thrive, cope, or struggle there. It's the question before the question. Every other plant app starts at care. This one starts at placement, which is where most plant deaths actually begin. Happy to answer anything. Would love to know what plants you're trying to find homes for.

How does the verdict change through the year, like does it update as the sun path shifts with the seasons, or is it more of a one-time read?

Yep - the sun path is live and updates throughout the year
