Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Jon Shaivitz, a filmmaker and the founder of Pitcheroo. After 20 years trying to break into the film industry, I kept seeing the same problem: the system is largely closed off to people outside of it, making it extremely difficult for emerging writers without connections to get their work in front of decision-makers. Writers struggle to get their work seen, and producers often have to navigate a scattered, inefficient pipeline for discovering new material. So I built Pitcheroo—a pitching marketplace where screenwriters can pitch producers directly. No red tape. No gatekeeping. Just pitching the producer of your choice directly. Screenwriters can browse a gallery of producers and send direct pitches—via 60-second selfie videos—and producers can simply pass or request the script if they're interested. And if a producer requests the script, the writer’s pitch fee is refunded 100%. The idea is to make pitching more accessible, more human, and more transparent.
