Building an AI "what to watch" app for Android TV — what actually makes you press play?
Hey all — solo maker here. I kept spending longer choosing what to watch than actually watching, so I built PinpoinTV: an Android TV / Google TV app where you pick your mood + genre and AI recommends ONE thing to watch, limited to the streaming services you already pay for (so no "not available" letdowns).
I'm launching on Product Hunt on July 14 and would love input from this community while I still have time to act on it:
When you sit down to watch, what actually gets you to press play — a single confident pick, or a small shortlist?
2. Which streaming services would you most want supported first?
3. Does "match my mood" matter more than genre for you, or the other way around?
Genuinely building this for people who hate the scroll — any honest feedback helps. 🎬
