Have you ever actually seen how much data websites store on your device? It’s more than I expected.

Honestly, I’d never really thought about it myself — I assumed it was just a few cookies here and there. But once I started digging, I realised websites store a lot more on your device than anyone expects.
Local storage, databases, cached files, background scripts… it builds up fast, and none of it is visible unless you know exactly where to look.
It made me wonder:
Do regular users ever check this stuff?
Shouldn’t it be easier to see what’s being stored and decide what stays or goes?
Curious if anyone else has looked into this before — or if most people just assume “it’s probably fine” without really knowing what’s happening behind the scenes.
