We re-think our strategy once a year. How often do you do that?

In my years as a strategy consultant, I've met founders with plenty of ideas. The hard part is choosing one direction and holding it when a new opportunity pulls the other way.

I'm a founder too, so I know how hard it is to keep the balance between flexibility and consistency. Over time, we end up with a wider lineup than we need, or more audiences than we can really serve. So we keep deciding what to keep, what to let go, and when. The cost usually comes from making those calls too late.

Curious if you've been there:

- Where does it show first? The website, sales, infrastructure, or marketing spend?

- Do you have a regular point in the year when you step back and rethink your direction?

We launch PENTAGONBRIEF here on November 10. I'll read every reply.
