Hey Product Hunt! I'm Sarim, the maker. I wanted to track my UPI spending, but every app I tried wanted my bank login or uploaded my transactions somewhere. Then it hit me: my bank already texts me every transaction. So I built PennyWise to read those SMS and turn them into a proper expense timeline, entirely on the phone. Since the last launch it's grown a lot: an iOS app, 157 banks across 24 countries, PDF statement import, and an on-device AI (Qwen) you can ask things like "how much did I spend on food last month?". Still no accounts, no cloud, no analytics, and the whole thing is open source. If your bank's SMS isn't picked up, tell me in the comments and I'll add it. Would love your feedback!
