Hi Product Hunt 👋 We’re building SteelBox because structural steel takeoff still involves a huge amount of repetitive searching through drawings — finding members, reading section labels, matching marks, measuring lengths, and transferring everything into spreadsheets. We wanted to see whether AI could remove that repetitive work without removing the engineer from the decision-making process. That became SteelBox. SteelBox helps find and organize steel members from structural drawings, guides the user through measurement and grouping, and shows the drawing evidence behind AI suggestions. Nothing important becomes final until the user reviews it. We’re still in early access, and this launch is especially important to us because we want feedback from steel estimators, fabricators, detailers, structural engineers, and construction teams working with real drawings.
