Building a Windows tweak tool where every change has an undo button — launching on PH tomorrow

by

Hey everyone — I'm launching PC Tweaker on Product Hunt tomorrow and wanted to share the story behind it before that.

I got tired of Windows "optimization" tools that either do nothing measurable or make registry/service changes you can't easily reverse. So I built this around one rule: snapshot the original value before touching anything, so any tweak — registry, power plan, service — is one click from undone.

50 tweaks across Performance, Gaming, Privacy, Maintenance, and Interface. The gaming preset is backed by a real recorded before/after benchmark (+67% average FPS in Valorant), not a marketing claim. 33 of the 50 tweaks are free forever.

Built solo — Rust/Tauri backend, React frontend. Happy to answer anything about the build, the rollback design, or what's next. Would also love to know: what's the one Windows setting you always change first on a fresh install?
