Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built PasteSpace after switching from Windows to macOS and missing a clipboard manager that felt private, native, and simple. Most of the apps I found were either subscription-based, cloud-connected, or heavier than I wanted for something that should just live quietly in the menu bar. So I decided to build my own. PasteSpace is a native macOS clipboard manager with searchable history, local OCR, an encrypted Vault for sensitive items, and on-device text/data transformations. It collects zero data, has a free tier with clear limits, and offers a one-time Pro upgrade instead of a subscription. This is my first native Mac app, so I’d really love your feedback — especially on the UX, pricing, and which features feel most valuable. Happy to answer anything here all day.

🎉 Version 2.0 is now available.

What's New

- Quick Look is now a text editor — edit, format, highlight, and save clipboard text directly in the floating panel (font, size, bold, italic, color, highlight, alignment, lists).

- Rich-text fidelity — formatted text is now captured and pasted exactly as it appeared at the source. Previous versions stored all text as plain text.

- Plain-text controls — "Always copy as plain text" and "Always paste as plain text" options, plus dedicated buttons for plain-text paste in the history row and Quick Look.

- QR Code Generator — turn any text or URL into a scannable QR code, generated locally and offline.

- Drag & Drop — drag text, images, files, and groups of files from your history into any app. Files land as real files, not shortcuts.

- macOS 27 compatibility — menu bar, popovers, and Quick Look fully updated for macOS 27, with full compatibility maintained from macOS 14 onward.

- Redesigned interface — unified icon language, consistent typography, and rearranged controls across the history for clearer content hierarchy.

- Safer deletion — confirmation required before deleting any history item;

- Ephemeral Mode — history is wiped when you quit PasteSpace, not only on macOS restart or shutdown.
