Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Julien, senior marketer by day, solopreneur by experiment. I've spent years running marketing for automotive brands, but on the side I've been quietly building passive income infrastructure: affiliate sites, YouTube channels, email assets. The problem? Most passive income content is either: - Vague ("just start a blog!") - Selling you a course - Written by people who haven't actually done it PassiveKit is my answer to that. Independent, honest, based on what I'm actually testing. Right now the site covers: ✓ Affiliate program comparisons (real commission rates, payout terms) ✓ Email platform reviews (Beehiiv, Kit, and more) ✓ SEO tools for small sites ✓ Side-hustle strategy with a realistic lens No sponsors. No affiliate bias in the reviews themselves. Just what works. Would love your feedback - especially on what topics you'd want covered next

@digitalspecialist85 This hits hard because you're right—most passive income content is either oversimplified or wrapped in a course pitch. The affiliate program comparison angle is especially valuable since commission structures vary wildly and most people never dig into the actual payout terms. What's your plan for keeping the reviews honest as the site grows? That's usually where independence gets tested.

@saulfleischman Great question, and honestly the one I think about most.

My plan is simple: I follow the questions my audience actually asks, not what's easiest to monetize. If a tool has a great affiliate program but my readers keep asking about a competitor, I write about the competitor.

The harder part you're pointing at, branded content, sponsored reviews, I've made a clean decision: it won't happen. This is the essence of PassiveKit.com.

The moment I take money to say something, the whole thing breaks. I'd rather grow slower and stay trustworthy than scale fast on content I don't believe in.

The affiliate disclosures are there for exactly that reason. If I recommend something, you can see the commission. If I recommend something that pays me nothing (like MailerLite over Kit in some cases), that's the proof the model holds.
