Hey Product Hunt 👋 Iuliia here, co-founder of Papermark.
It is launch day 🚀
Three years ago Marc and I started Papermark. We've been shipping and listening to every piece of feedback since. Today 80k+ users trust Papermark with their deals: founders, M&A advisors, VCs, LPs and sales teams.
The same problems kept coming up:
→ Setting up a data room takes days, sometimes weeks
→ You never know who actually read your deck
→ The room carries the vendor's logo, not yours
→ Your AI agents can't touch any of it
Data Rooms 2.0 is our answer to all of it:
→ Live in under 60 seconds
→ Page-by-page analytics and a full audit log
→ Fully white-labeled: your brand, your logo, your domain
→ API, CLI and MCP server, so Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT can set up a room when you ask
My favourite part is the agents. Ask for "a buy-side M&A room for Project Atlas" and you get the folders, permissions and share link back.
We're setting the data room standard!
Thank you for supporting us today 💫 Tell us what your data room is missing. Marc and I are here all day.
Love the product, wish i could use the product more 😂
@tibozaurus Thibault, time to raise some extra 💸?
@iuliia_sh already spoiled with dads money
@tibozaurus I kind of knew it
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Marc here, co-founder of Papermark.
For three years, I have personally responded to thousands of user requests about data room features and use cases.
Whether you're running a fundraise, an M&A deal or due diligence, you need a secure data room. Most of them take weeks to set up, start with a sales call and put their own logo on your deal.
So we made ours more customizable. Papermark Data Rooms 2.0:
▪️ Live in under 60 seconds
▪️ Military-grade encryption, fully certified, and self-hostable
▪️ Granular file permissions, access controls and built-in Q&A
▪️ Full audit log and page-by-page analytics, so you know who read what
▪️ A transparent API, CLI and MCP server, so agents can run the room ("Set up a buy-side M&A room", "Who viewed my pitch deck this week?")
▪️ Fully white-labeled: your brand, your logo, your domain
A Papermark data room looks like your company, not ours.
I'd love to hear what your current data room is missing. I'm here all day to answer questions 🙌
Congrats @iuliia_sh and @mfts0! What would you say is the most impactful part of this launch?
@mfts0 @emilia_korczynska1 I think how it all comes together!
Every small improvement, every feature update or addition, makes it really compelling data room product.
We use this product for our raise and absolutely love it! I would recommend to anyone looking for a comprehensive and flexible Data Room solution — just give it a try.
It is pretty amazing how fast you progress. Wishing good luck with this launch! :)
page-by-page analytics is the part i'd check first. does it show it per person who opened the room, or only per link?
The MCP angle is what caught my attention — asking an agent to set up a buy-side M&A room and getting folders, permissions, and a share link back is a very different workflow from clicking through a setup wizard. With agents able to create rooms, how do you keep permissions from drifting over time — is there an audit trail that shows exactly which agent granted what, and can an admin revoke agent-created access in one place?
Come a long way since the first launch! Still remember the original landing page and PH launch!!
ok asking Claude for "a buy-side M&A room for Project Atlas" and getting folders + permissions back is a pretty good demo of why MCP matters
who's allowed to change permissions through the agent though??? like if someone asks it to give an outside advisor acess to everything, does it go through or wait for a human ok???
@thamibenjelloun great question. Access changes are always logged and an admin can control what permissions other members on the team have.
It’s the perfect complement to our dashboard
