Excited to unveil our investment in Colorful and hunt it here on ProductHunt! :-) Colorful is a browser-based 3D tool for creating stunning product photos. But actually, “3D tool” makes it sound more complicated than it is. I like to think of Colorful as a virtual photo studio. Instead of spending a huge amount of time and money on professional photographers, you just choose and customize a scene (or create your own one), upload a 3D model of your product, and play around with the (virtual) light and the (virtual) camera until you’ve got your perfect shot. No 3D modeling skills required – give it a try. :)

At Colorful we think photography should be virtual. Working on a photo-set as you do in a Google Doc file changes how you will think about photography. 🔧 edit photo shootings anytime, anywhere. 🔗 share photo shootings via a simple link 🚀 scale up content production quickly But virtual photography / 3D rendering is not accessible to everyone 🙇‍♂️ most 3D software is hard to learn 🔌 powerful desktop computers are needed for photorealistic renderings 🤦🏻‍♂️ handoff & communication with the team and clients are a mess So we decided to offload all the heavy lifting into the cloud ☁️ Making 3D renderings truly accessible for the first time on any computer. To get you started quickly in 3D we built a library of ready-made photo templates and added photo props to drag into the scenes. We are very excited to see what you are able to create in Colorful. We've been producing our content for Wakeout on a green screen, then using 3D software to render the rooms behind the models (see our website: https://wakeout.app/). The render quality of Colorful is insane! Just designed a test room on Colorful and the quality is very impressive. The limited number of objects is a factor that might keep us from switching for now, but I'm sure that will change fast. Congrats and thank you!

@g_wan Thanks! The web studio uses three.js, basically a game engine, and the high quality photos are ray traced images from really powerful servers!
