osmAPI - One Awesome API for everything AI

What inspired this was honestly the frustration of dealing with fragmented AI integrations. Every time we experimented with a new LLM provider, it meant new SDKs, new auth flows, new response formats, and separate billing dashboards. The problem wasn’t model capability — it was integration overhead and long-term maintenance. The goal was to simplify that layer. Instead of developers worrying about plumbing and vendor differences, we wanted a single interface that abstracts those complexities while still allowing flexibility to switch or compare providers. During the launch process, the approach evolved quite a bit. Initially, it was just about unifying endpoints. But as we worked through real use cases, we realized usage tracking, cost visibility, and provider routing were just as important as technical compatibility. The focus shifted from “API aggregation” to building something that actually reduces operational friction for teams working with multiple AI models.
