When does an explanation feel complete?

I’m testing a simple assumption while building Origin: deeper is not always better. Sometimes one more “why” reveals an important assumption; sometimes it just repeats the same idea in different words.

For a question you recently thought about, what made the explanation finally feel complete—evidence, a causal chain, a concrete example, or something else? I’m especially curious where you would stop digging.
