Orfeo Cofre keeps your photos, videos and documents encrypted on your own phone. No account, no server, no ads. You set the PIN, you keep the .cofre backup yourself. - Per-file AES-256-GCM encryption - Decoy vault with a different PIN - Calculator disguise in the app drawer - Optional end-to-end encrypted chat (the relay can't read it, deletes after 30 days) 25 files free for life, then a one-time unlock. Your files never leave the phone.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Orfeo Cofre because I wanted a photo vault that didn't ask me to trust anyone else with my files. Most "hide your photos" apps I tried either wanted an account, quietly synced to their own cloud, or shipped with trackers and ads. Cofre keeps everything local: photos, videos and documents are encrypted per-file (AES-256-GCM) on your own phone. There's no server, no account, no ads. You pick the PIN, and if you want a backup you export a .cofre file yourself and store it wherever you like. A few things that came out of real requests from people who actually need this (not just "nice to have" privacy): a decoy vault with a different PIN for when someone asks you to unlock it, and a calculator disguise so the app doesn't even look like a vault in your app drawer. It's free to try with up to 25 files (that cap is permanent, not a "trial" that resets), then a one-time unlock if you want more. Happy to answer anything about the encryption, the calculator disguise, or why I skipped the cloud entirely.
