Ordain - Post a bounty. Creators compete. Paid over Lightning.

by
Ordain is a commission marketplace for creative work. A patron describes what they want made and posts a bounty. Creators compete. The winner is chosen by split vote: half commissioner, half ranked-choice peer vote among creators. Payment settles instantly over Bitcoin Lightning. 1% fee. No gatekeepers, no algorithms, no subscriptions. We launched with five short film commissions, $100 to $1,000, open to anyone using any tools including AI. Submissions close March 23.

Hi Product Hunt. I'm John, co-founder of Ordain. Fiction writer with five published books and a Whiting Award. I don't come from the startup world. I built Ordain because the creator economy has a structural problem: it's all supply side. Creators post work and hope someone notices. Kickstarter inverts it partially, but the money still follows creators who pitch, not patrons who ask. Ordain is demand side. A patron has a vision and posts a bounty. Creators compete to fulfill it. The winner is chosen by split vote (commissioner + peer vote among creators) and paid instantly over Lightning. Five short film commissions are live now, $100 to $1,000. Subjects range from a Kafka adaptation to Bitcoin mining infrastructure to AI consciousness. Open to anyone, any tools, five minutes or less. No VC money. Built with savings and stubbornness.
