The Wearables Integration Playbook 2.0 is out

Quick update for anyone who followed the launch.

We just published the second edition of our Wearables Integration Playbook. It's the written version of what we learned building the platform and seeing it run in production.

The first edition was about how to connect providers. This one goes wider: the architecture decisions that are expensive to reverse, what each of them costs you in control and compliance, and how to sequence the work so your product team is not waiting on the pipeline.

Four parts, sixteen sections, 24 pages, free:

  • How wearable data reaches your backend: cloud OAuth vs mobile SDK, and why most production products run both

  • Build, buy, or self-host, with the compliance implications of each

  • Running it in production: observability, security, consent, CGM, health scoring, and the AI layer

  • A realistic timeline built around three parallel tracks instead of one sequential build

It's vendor-neutral where it matters. There's a section explaining that routing through a unified integration layer, ours or anyone else's, does not mean inheriting that layer's provider access. You register with each provider under your own company name. A platform can hand you the code that speaks Garmin's protocol and normalizes its data model. It cannot hand you the client ID.
