Hi there, Peter here from Open Paper, I am also the host of the What Bitcoin Did podcast and manage the whatbitcoindid.com website.
As a Crypto investor I struggle with whitepapers:
1. They are usually quite long, and I don't have time to read them all
2. Often there are technical things which I don't understand
3. When researching on other sites, I find conflicting opinions about the whitepaper
With Open Paper, I want to create a transparent way to help people review and understand whitepapers:
1. Allow users to highlight and comment on specific sections of the whitepaper, challenging the content or even asking questions. Other members of the community, even the founders are then able to respond to these comments and questions.
2. Users can create a tl;dr version of the whitepaper for those short of time.
3. Whitepapers will be supported with a pre-recorded interview with the founding team, asking critical questions about the project, their experience and the roadmap.
Founders will be able to interact live with the community on the website, giving investors a far more transparent way of reviewing a project.
I have lots of ideas, but right now I am working on an MVP which will include a single project and whitepaper from quite an exciting project. I am looking for people to register for the beta to help with testing and to also feedback with ideas for features which they think might be useful.

@peter_mccormack Have you checked out Preethi's project that helps identify ICO scams?

From Techcrunch:
"a platform for users to research and validate claims that people make online, whether in a blog post, white paper, website or social media post. The young company’s aim is to “bring authenticity back into the digital and decentralized world.”
I wonder if there could be a partnership or an opportunity to work together here.
