OmniDesk keeps your own computers in sync without touching the cloud. Copy on one machine, paste on another instantly. Drag a file onto a paired device and it lands in seconds — no size limits, nothing uploaded to a server. Devices find each other via mDNS and pair with a one-time 6-digit PIN, no accounts needed. Written in Go, MIT licensed. Next on the roadmap: cross-OS mouse & keyboard control, so one keyboard and mouse can drive your Mac, Windows and Linux machines like a single desk.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built OmniDesk because I got tired of emailing myself files or using cloud clipboard managers just to move a link from my desktop to my laptop sitting three feet away. OmniDesk is 100% peer-to-peer — your clipboard and files never leave your local network. No accounts, no servers, no telemetry. Pair two computers with a 6-digit PIN, and from there clipboard sync and drag-and-drop file transfer just work, on Linux, macOS, and Windows alike. It's open source (MIT) and still early — 29 commits in, zero polish budget, all function. The next big milestone is turning it into a cross-OS KVM: one mouse and keyboard controlling all your machines, the way Apple's Universal Control works between Macs, but across operating systems.
