Confession: I use a solitary WhatsApp chat as my "second brain". Anyone else?
Hi PH community! ๐
For years, my primary note-taking system was just an empty WhatsApp chat. It was incredibly fast and frictionless, but it always turned into a chaotic dump of lost links, random ideas, and forgotten to-dos.
I realized I hated the friction of traditional apps where you have to pick a folder or a tag before you can even write your thought. I just wanted to type instantly and organize later. Thatโs why I spent the last few months building OhMyNote Yourself, which I'm launching in a couple of days. Itโs a 100% offline self-chat app. You type your thoughts instantly into a single stream, and then use a simple "Swipe-to-Tag" gesture to categorize them when you have time.
Write now, organize later.
I'd love to hear from you: What is your current system for capturing rapid-fire, messy thoughts? Do you use heavy tools like Notion, or do you rely on simple messaging hacks like me? Let's discuss below! (And if you relate to the WhatsApp struggle, feel free to hit "Notify me" on the launch page!). ๐
