Hey Hunters 👋 I built this because I was tired of uploading personal files to random sites just to convert a PDF or resize an image. Where do those files even go? Who knows. So I made Offline File Converter -- everything runs right in your browser. Your files never touch a server. No sign-up, no watermarks, no catch. 130+ tools and still adding more. Would love your feedback -- what tool should I build next? 🙏

Finally a converter that actually keeps files local, and the background remover ran surprisingly fast on my laptop without freezing everything.

Thanks! If you find this useful, please consider sharing it with your network.

Finally tried the OCR tool on a messy scan and it pulled the text out surprisingly well without uploading anything. The fact that all 130+ tools stay in the browser makes it feel genuinely low-stakes to experiment with.

Thanks so much. Love hearing that the OCR held up on a messy scan. That "low-stakes to experiment" feeling is exactly what we're going for: everything runs client-side, so your files never leave the tab. Got a tool you wish existed? Always taking requests.

How does it actually handle large video files that would normally eat up RAM, since everything runs client-side?

Straight answer: no magic. Video is processed via FFmpeg.wasm in your browser's own memory, so the limit is your device RAM. Big 4K files can hit that ceiling. It's a deliberate tradeoff: privacy (files never leave your device) over unlimited cloud size.

If you're wrangling files that big regularly, that's something we build custom for teams (higher limits, server-side where it makes sense) — happy to chat, just DM. 🙌

finally a converter that doesn’t make me upload anything, the background remover worked right in my browser without a sign-up nag or watermark, super clean experience.

Thanks! Privacy-first was one of the main goals. If there's another conversion feature you'd like to see added, I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Does this actually work on large video files too, or is it more suited for smaller media since everything runs locally in the browser?
