Why I built a Dynamic Island for Windows
Hey Product Hunt, I'm Kore, the maker of NotchPixel.
I wanted the iPhone's Dynamic Island on my Windows laptop. Every app I tried was either just a shape or a heavy web view, so I built a native one that sits at 0% CPU when you're not using it.
Rest your pointer on it and it opens into a card:

Now playing from any app, with lyrics
Clipboard history with pins
Files to your phone over Wi-Fi with a QR code, with no app needed
A slim FPS, CPU and GPU strip in fullscreen games
One key to mute your mic in every app
Reminders that show up even over games
Widgets, quick controls, your coding agents and a stream chat drawer
Try it without installing: the island at the top of https://notchpixel.com is interactive. Hover it, switch tabs, change the theme, or flip it from an island to a notch.

This week's update came straight from user emails: a 24-hour clock and a minimal weather widget, both asked for by a user in Denmark. What would you want your island to show next? I'll be here all day.
