Hi, I’m a PhD researcher in the humanities and the creator of Nodus. I started building it because my own research workflow had become fragmented across many separate tools. I wanted one place where sources, evidence, ideas and data could remain connected and traceable. Nodus is a free and open-source desktop workspace for research, teaching and study. It can chat with Zotero PDFs using exact page citations, extract grounded ideas, build knowledge graphs, compare authors and arguments, analyse databases, support teaching and study workflows, and work with genealogical sources. You can use your own API keys, local models or supported subscriptions such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot. Each workspace also includes tutorials and demo data, so you can explore it without uploading your own material first. Nodus is still evolving, and feedback is especially useful at this stage. I’d be very interested to hear which workflows feel useful, which parts feel confusing and what you would expect from a research workspace like this. Thanks for taking a look.
