As China's economy continues to grow and the "Belt and Road Initiative" expands, I’ve witnessed a massive surge in the global demand for learning Chinese. From Southeast Asia to Latin America and Europe, more people want to connect with China for business, culture, and travel. I was inspired by this global shift—I wanted to build a bridge that makes this "daunting" language accessible to anyone, anywhere, at the click of a button. Most existing tools are designed with a "one-size-fits-all" approach, often requiring heavy app downloads and high-speed internet. I wanted to solve the "accessibility gap." > Many learners in emerging markets (like Brazil or Vietnam) need tools that are lightweight, offline-ready, and localized in their mother tongue. By using PWA technology, I removed the friction of app stores, making professional Chinese learning as easy as opening a web link. my "global-first" mindset pushed me to move beyond English-to-Chinese. I restructured my entire database into a modular "Package" system, allowing me to seamlessly support 10+ mother tongues, ensuring that a student in Brazil or Germany feels like the app was built specifically for them.
