Making post-quantum cryptography more accessible to developers — meet NEXUS-Q
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm the creator of NEXUS-Q, an open-source post-quantum cryptography project built in Rust.
I started building NEXUS-Q because I saw a gap between the growing importance of post-quantum cryptography and how accessible practical tools are for developers.
The goal is to bring useful cryptographic capabilities together in one developer-oriented project, including:
Post-quantum key encapsulation with ML-KEM.
Digital signatures with ML-DSA and SLH-DSA.
Hybrid cryptography options.
Authenticated encryption and key management.
A command-line interface for practical workflows.
The core development is complete, and an independent external security audit is still pending.
I'd love to hear from the community:
What do you think is the biggest barrier preventing developers from experimenting with and adopting post-quantum cryptography today?
I'd really appreciate your thoughts, questions, and honest feedback!
