NeatShift: A Tool I Built to Keep My Files Organized Without the Headaches
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on called NeatShift. It’s a tool for Windows that makes organizing files super easy while keeping everything accessible using symbolic links. I built it because I was tired of clutter but didn’t want to break paths to files that other programs rely on.
Here’s what it does:
- Moves your files to wherever you want and automatically creates symbolic links so they’re still accessible in the original location.
- Keeps things safe by making system restore points before it moves files.
- Has a simple, modern UI that works with drag-and-drop—no techy skills needed.
You can download it here: [NeatShift on GitHub](https://github.com/BytexGrid/Nea...).
It’s still a work in progress, and I’d love for you to check it out, give feedback, or even contribute if that’s your thing! Let me know what you think.
