Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I built MyBiteIQ after getting frustrated with every calorie tracker on the market.

The problem: they're all built around Western food. If you eat dal, biryani, dosa, or a thai curry — you're stuck guessing. The databases are incomplete, the AI doesn't recognise your food, and the meal plans suggest chicken breast and broccoli. Every. Single. Day.

So I built something better.

What MyBiteIQ does:

📸 Snap a photo → instant macros
Point your camera at any meal — home-cooked, restaurant, Indian, Japanese, anything — and Claude AI identifies every item and gives you calories, protein, carbs, and fat in seconds. No manual searching. No barcode required.

🥗 AI meal plans for your exact diet
Tell it your goals, your eating pattern, and your cuisine preference — and it generates a complete daily meal plan in under 60 seconds. We support:

  • Keto (including Indian keto — paneer, cauliflower rice, egg curry)

  • Intermittent Fasting — 16:8, 18:6, 2MAD, and OMAD protocols

  • 8 cuisine types — Indian, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican, or mixed

The meal plan adapts to your protocol. OMAD gets one nutritionally complete meal. 16:8 spreads meals across a noon–8pm window. It actually makes sense.

📊 Track everything in one place
Calories, macros, activity, streaks, trends — all on a clean dashboard. Weekly progress emails for Pro users. Group challenges to stay accountable with friends.

What makes it different from other apps:

Most trackers are calorie databases with a UI on top. MyBiteIQ is built around AI from the ground up — photo recognition that actually works for non-Western food, meal plans that respect your eating protocol, and a food database pulling from USDA + Open Food Facts with 300K+ verified entries.

It's also genuinely free to try — 3 AI photo scans per day, no credit card needed. Pro is $4.99/month.

What we've shipped recently:

  • ✅ IF protocol support (16:8, 18:6, 2MAD, OMAD) in meal plan generator

  • ✅ Cuisine-specific meal plans (Indian, Japanese, Thai + more)

  • ✅ Keto meal plans — including Indian keto

  • ✅ iOS app on the App Store

  • ✅ Group challenges for accountability

  • ✅ Barcode scanner

I'd love your honest feedback — especially from anyone who's struggled to track non-Western food or follow IF without a proper plan.
