Does anyone else feel like marketing is 10 jobs pretending to be one?

Some days I genuinely feel burned out & wonder what being a marketer is supposed to mean

This week alone I've been trying to get SEO/content moving. Then creating social posts so that the content gets traction.

Then I'm also chasing customers for testimonials & then working with the team to figure out where those testimonials should be used

And that's just the stuff I actually got to

There's also analytics, emails, landing pages, competitors.

Everytime I finish one thing, I remember 3 other things I should probably be doing

How do you guys actually do this without feeling like you're constantly behind?

Have always been wearing many hats. But I know my real strength now, I am a really good brand artist. Let me know if you need any help or direction in building a personal/product brand for free. Happy to help

It is ten jobs, and the trap is that nine of them produce something you can point at by Friday. The one that doesn't is talking to people who nearly bought and didn't, and it's also the only one that changes what the other nine should say, so it loses every week on a to-do list. I stopped trying to keep all ten moving and picked one per week to let go badly on purpose. Being visibly behind on eight things turned out to be far less costly than being quietly mediocre at ten.
