Muddled - The cocktail app that starts with your bar, not a recipe

by
Most cocktail apps are recipe books. Muddled starts from your shelf. Tell it what bottles you own — it shows every cocktail you can make right now, with green/orange/red dots on every recipe. Green = pour tonight. Orange = one bottle away. The inventory model is what makes it work: mark Bombay Sapphire and Muddled knows you can make any recipe calling for London Dry Gin. No double-entry. 100+ IBA recipes. Recipe sharing. Multi-bar support. $1.99/mo, 14-day free trial.

Hey PH 👋 Larry & Kip here, the two-person team behind Muddled. We built this because Highball, the cocktail inventory app many of us loved, went unmaintained. We couldn't find anything that did what it did, so we built a replacement. And then kept going. The thing we're most proud of: the virtual stock engine. Mark a specific bottle (Bombay Sapphire, Hendrick's, whatever you actually have) and Muddled figures out which generic spirit category it maps to, so every recipe calling for "London Dry Gin" becomes available without double-entry. It sounds small but it's the detail that makes an inventory app actually work. Happy to answer anything about the app, the tech stack (native SwiftUI), the IBA catalog, or what it was like shipping our first app. Ask away. Also: if you were a Highball user and have been looking for something to replace it, this is for you.
