I have used most of the calendar platforms, and I am someone who wants simplicity in which events can be added to a calendar. I didn't like the manual typing and friction of adding events. I also used to see flyers of events I wanted to attend, but had to type them into my calendar manually. The calendars did not remind me promptly, and I kept forgetting important things. I also had my sister, who always forgot to take her daily medicine and needed to be reminded daily about it. I decided to build a smart calendar and reminder system so I can speak to it, e.g., "meeting with Alvin tomorrow at 15." I wanted a calendar that understood natural language. I also wanted the ability to upload images or snap a photo of an event, and Ii be automatically added to my calendar with a reminder. No friction, that's why I built Monna to solve that problem.

@nobert_ken This is a genuinely smart insight—the friction of manual entry is exactly what keeps people from capturing events in the moment. Natural language input plus image recognition solves a real pain point, especially for things like flyers or social invitations that don't come as calendar links. Your use case with your sister's reminders shows you're thinking about the whole ecosystem, not just calendar optimization.

@osakasaul thank you, exactly. I wanted the least friction when it came to adding events, vvoice text, and image upload with AI processing that understands natural commands like “add meeting tomorrow at 9am” with reminders too. Thank you
