Hi Product Hunt, I’m Laure, founder of MissCaps.
I built MissCaps for a simple but difficult problem: sometimes the most important messages should not be sent now, but they also should not be lost.
MissCaps lets you create encrypted capsules with private messages, photos, or video, choose trusted recipients, and set your own miss days. If you stop checking in, secure delivery begins.
We focused a lot on trust: on-device encryption before upload, ciphertext storage, recipient verification, saved recovery codes, and blockchain proof as an extra integrity layer.
I’d really love your feedback on the product, the trust model, and the use cases you think matter most.

A question I keep thinking about:
For people living abroad or far from family, does a private fallback plan like this feel useful — or does it still feel too abstract until a real emergency happens?
I’d love honest thoughts.

One thing I’d really love feedback on:
When you first see MissCaps, does it feel more useful as:
1. a private fallback plan for expats / travelers
2. a way to leave private instructions for loved ones
And separately, what part of the trust model still feels unclear?
