Hey PH: Bryce here, one of the co-founders of Mise. We've been building this for about six months. My co-founders and I had the same problem most busy households have: by 6 pm on a weeknight, there's no decision-making energy left for something that should be simple. We'd scan the fridge, order takeout, or default to the same three things. What we actually needed was to make that call on Sunday, when we had a clear head and twenty minutes to think. That's what Mise is. You spend a few minutes on Sunday swiping through recipes. The ones you pick turn into a grocery list. You shop once. The week takes care of itself. A few things worth knowing before you download: It's $6.99/month after a 7-day free trial. That's enough time for one real Sunday planning session, which we've found is the moment that shows whether this works for you. Try the full loop before you decide. From a data perspective, we really care most about users who make a second meal plan, not downloads, because we're paying attention to whether someone who plans dinner in week one comes back in week two. Many of our beta users did. That's the number that tells us we built something worth keeping. Would love to hear how your first Sunday goes. Happy to answer anything here. — Bryce, Alex, and David

The swipe mechanic on Sunday actually makes planning feel doable instead of a chore, and my grocery list came together without me thinking about it. Wish the recipes skewed a bit more weeknight-friendly, but overall a solid take on the space.

terrific feedback! What would make the recipes more weeknight-friendly? Shorter? Fewer ingredients?

The recipe function of our app is critical, so ensuring we have both the options and the filters present for our users to truly enjoy the full use of the app is a huge priority for us.

Glad you're liking the mechanics! We wanted to prioritize ease of use, and the swipe method seemed to do the trick!

The swipe setup on Sunday actually felt kind of fun, and I was surprised how accurate the grocery list was when I went shopping. Wish the recipe photos loaded a bit faster though.

Thanks for the feedback! We will work on the photos loading - are you on android or ios?
