What started with the working title "CoffeeKit" to keep track of my espresso machine maintenance, turned into a great alternative to conventional reminders. In a world where we are bombarded by notifications, I just didn't want another app to remind me about stuff that I don't have to be right away but still should do soon. I used to use reminders but kept snoozing them every day. The Apple battery widget then inspired me to just have a widget on the home screen to subtly remind me about the progress while still looking beautiful. I use it ever since and now wanted everyone to benefit from it.
This is beautiful!
So happy to hear that Neel πŸ™Œ Tell your friends 😜
I will :))
Congrats on your launch and good luck!
Thanks so much Pam!
Congrats on the launch! I think it would be the best notification on my phone if there's an android version. Do you have plan to add it?
Thanks! Not yet but I'm already talking to a android friend of mine :) The sync between iOS and Android would be difficult though.
Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. I understand the difficulty, my team also has to work for the same topic of syncing data across device, especially when we don't have a separate account system and the orders are connected with the app store account.
Congrats on the launch, awesome app!
πŸ™Really appreciate it!
Oh, this is exactly what I wanted. A nice, non-invasive reminder app where I can track my daily to-dos without them sitting in the notifications if I can't get to them immediately. I love having my notifications cleared because I can immediately get to handling an important notification if it comes. Simple reminders shouldn't sit on in the notifications for that reason. Unfortunately, I'm on Android, any plan to create an Android app as well?
Thanks for the great feedback!! That was exactly the reason why i built this app. I was always annoyed by the recurring reminder notifications, i just kept on snoozing them forever. Unfortunately there is currently no android app planned, but I talked to an android dev friend of mine. Maybe we'll find a way to collaborate :)
I snooze them because it is an issue of psychology not because of the medium for the reminder. Usually the activation energy to do the task is too high or there are a lot of unknowns for the task or there are prerequisites that need to be completed before the task can be completed but I don't know what they are or I haven't fleshed out the issue well enough.
Yeah, i totally get that. But with the widget you'll be constantly reminded about it and actually see how long it's already overdue, at some point the guilt just because too big for me and i have to do it. :D Everyone is different though of course
I love it, Since I have started using focus mode I barely see any notifications but it’s really nice to see reminders as progress directly inside widgets. Great work πŸ‘
Yep, for me it's also just a blur, that's why i often missed them because they are drowned in the flood of notifications! Thanks so much!
Sleek UI! I belong to the "will it be released for Android" community for now
haha thanks. I guess it has to, seeing your community grow πŸ˜… Out of curiosity, would it be enough for you if you couldn’t sync them between iOS and Android?
Yeah, I don't use an iOS device so it's no problem for me personally
Congrats Florian! It's great app!
Thanks for the kind words 😍
Congrats on the launch πŸ™Œ. I really like the idea of subtle reminders, no push notifications, no nagging to complete. It sits on home screen and just makes you aware of it. It also looks crazy good, how long it took you to design it πŸ˜€?
Thanks for that great feedback! Designing was the easy part. πŸ˜… Was a very iterative process so hard to tell.. probably like a week or so :)
I love the idea behind Mindr because the app doesn't disturb you like others with notifications but, in a healthier way, gives you a clear understanding of when something should be accomplished. Curious to see the app grow over time. Kudos to the developer for building in public on Twitter πŸ‘
Thanks so much! It's awesome how well it works and is received!
