This is my first time launching on Product Hunt, and I’m excited (and a bit nervous) to share Miaw AI Secretary.
Miaw is a lightweight desktop AI assistant with a floating chat, built to help with quick thinking, writing, and daily tasks without leaving your workflow.
A quick note
This project is a recreation inspired by Thuki macos.
I built Miaw as a learning journey to understand product design, desktop UX, and how to ship faster in public. Along the way, I added my own implementation choices and direction.

Hey, cool idea — I like the concept of a lightweight floating AI on the desktop.
I tried running it, but it seems like it depends on a local backend (127.0.0.1:4000), and I couldn’t get the chat to respond on my side.
Is there a simpler way planned for first-time users to try it out without setting up a local server?
@sam12354 Ya, the main purpose is to communicate with your own local AI model, so you can try it if you already have a local LLM set up. But you can also try it with my hosted AI
