Product and Design
1. Is Meydo a phone or an AI toy?
Meydo is positioned as both a pocket AI phone and a personal AI companion. The current hardware requirements include 4G LTE, a Nano-SIM slot, an earpiece, microphones, speakers, GPS, NFC, and an Android-based system. The goal is to provide independent phone and AI-terminal capabilities in a product that can also feel playful and personal.
The final scope of calling, messaging, and app support will depend on the production software release.
2. Does Meydo need to stay connected to another phone?
The current 4G LTE and Nano-SIM direction is intended to support independent connectivity and calling. Meydo is not being designed as a Bluetooth-only accessory.
Account synchronization, content migration, or certain ecosystem features may still involve another device. Those details depend on the final software implementation.
3. Why is Meydo square?
The square shape is intended to work naturally in a pocket, on a lanyard, on a desk, and inside different accessory cases. It also gives Meydo a clear identity beside conventional tall smartphones.
The goal is not to make a phone smaller for its own sake. The form is designed to bring AI closer and make short, voice-first and visual interactions easier to begin.
4. How large is the screen?
The current requirement is an approximately 4-inch high-definition display, with a target resolution of 720 x 720 or equivalent, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and typical brightness of at least 600 nits.
The final panel, active display area, resolution, and brightness will be confirmed with the production version.
5. How much does Meydo weigh?
The current target is approximately 100 grams. The final weight will depend on the rotating camera structure, battery, rear cover, accessories, and production engineering.
6. Can the camera rotate?
Yes. The current design uses one rotating 16-megapixel camera for both front-facing and outward-facing use.
When facing the user, it can support selfies and video calls. When facing outward, it is intended for everyday photography, AI visual understanding, translation, and "point and ask" interactions.
The final rotation angle, mechanical limits, durability, and video specifications remain subject to production validation.
7. What is the camera resolution?
The current requirement is a 16-megapixel rotating camera shared between front and rear use, together with an LED light.
The sensor, aperture, autofocus, stabilization, and video specifications have not yet been finalized.
8. Can Meydo be activated by voice while the screen is off?
Screen-off voice wake-up, echo cancellation, and wind-noise reduction are included in the current requirements.
The final wake phrase, power consumption, false activation rate, listening range, and supported languages must be tested on production hardware in each target market.
AI, Memory, and Privacy
9. Is the AI always listening?
It should not continuously record or upload audio by default. Meydo should provide a clear visual, audio, or physical indication whenever it is listening, and users should be able to disable voice wake-up and microphone access.
DroiClaw is being planned with a local-first direction, but the production system and privacy policy must explain whether audio is uploaded, how long it is retained, and whether it may be used for model training.
10. What can the AI remember?
The planned memory system includes temporary conversation context, tasks and reminders, preferences, and longer-term information that the user has approved.
Users should be able to inspect, edit, delete, or pause memory. The final memory scope will depend on the software release and local privacy requirements.
11. What if I do not want the AI to remember something?
Users should be able to decline a memory request immediately. They should also be able to ask, "What do you remember about me?" and open a memory-management page to remove individual items.
Sensitive information should not be added to long-term memory by default.
12. Can the AI complete tasks for me?
The planned DroiClaw AI Agent can break a goal into steps and call system tools, skills, or verified apps to help with reminders, organization, information retrieval, and selected end-to-end tasks.
High-risk actions such as payment, sending, publishing, deletion, unlocking, or vehicle control must require an additional confirmation. The actual execution scope will be defined by an official compatibility list covering supported apps, supported tasks, and tested versions.
13. Can I use the AI without an internet connection?
DroiClaw is being designed around local-first processing and graceful offline fallback. Basic device features, selected wake-up functions, downloaded skills, and local commands may be available without a network connection.
Complex understanding, online information, third-party services, and large-model generation may still require internet access. The production release should publish a clear offline capability list. A 60%+offline-completion figure shown in earlier concept material must be retested on actual Meydo hardware before it can be treated as a product claim.
Connectivity and Hardware
14. Which mobile networks will Meydo support?
The current direction is 4G LTE, with the goal of supporting target markets in the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Japan, and South Korea.
Final frequency bands, VoLTE, roaming, and carrier compatibility will be published separately for each sales SKU after certification and operator testing. Meydo should not be described as universally compatible until those results are available.
15. Will Meydo support dual SIM or eSIM?
The current requirement is one physical Nano-SIM. eSIM, dual-SIM operation, and memory-card expansion have not been confirmed.
16. Will NFC payments be supported?
NFC is included in the current hardware requirements. However, contactless payments, public-transport cards, access credentials, and ordinary NFC tag reading require different certifications and security implementations.

20. Can I install regular Android apps?
The current system direction is Android 16. Because Meydo uses a nearly square display, app installation, app-store access, compatibility, portrait and landscape behavior, and permission policies require dedicated adaptation.

Modes, Accessories, and Personalization
21. Does desktop companion mode require a separate dock?
A rear case with an integrated stand is the preferred starting option for desktop use. A dedicated charging dock is a proposed accessory, but its launch timing and whether it will be included in the box have not been confirmed.
22. Can vehicle mode control my car?
Vehicle control should only be offered or advertised after the relevant vehicle protocols, model compatibility, authorization, and safety requirements have been validated.
A more basic in-car assistant may provide route and trip information through hands-free voice interaction and a compliant mount. Its final capabilities will still depend on the production software and regional safety requirements.
23. Which games will work with the gaming case?
A compatibility list must be established based on the case buttons, connection protocol, control mapping, game support, and licensing.
A case without physical buttons should not be advertised as providing physical game controls.
24. Is the full-keyboard version a different phone?
No. The full keyboard is defined as a detachable accessory case for the same square Meydo device, not as a separate phone model.

25. Can I customize the AI character and voice?
Yes, this is part of the planned product direction. The system may offer built-in characters, themed characters, and user-created characters, along with different voices and interaction styles.

27. How will my data be protected if the device is lost?
