I built MentorView after struggling with my own job search. I realized the problem wasn’t lack of knowledge — it was lack of structured feedback. You prepare alone, practice generic questions, and then the real interview asks something completely different. After each interview, you’re left guessing: Was my resume weak? Did I explain poorly? Did I miss what the interviewer wanted? Existing tools only solve small parts of the problem: - Resume tools don’t prepare you to speak - Mock interviews don’t match real pressure - Interview prep content isn’t personalized And during real interviews, you’re completely on your own So I started building a system I personally wished existed — an AI that stays with you through the entire journey: First it analyzes your resume and identifies gaps Then it suggests your career path and what to prepare Then you practice in realistic mock interviews And finally, it assists you during real interviews and gives post-interview feedback Initially, I thought this would just be a mock interview platform. But while building and testing with users, it became clear the real problem wasn’t interviews — it was uncertainty. People didn’t know what to improve. That changed the product into a full career copilot instead of a preparation tool. MentorView is basically the system I built to remove guesswork from getting hired.
